About Sillua

Sillua started with a simple question: what if a portrait could feel like a painting first, and a portrait only when you squint? We are a small atelier based in Istanbul, working with a curated catalog of artistic styles inspired by classical and contemporary visual languages, Baroque florals, abstract textures, ink and watercolor compositions.

Every piece is custom-made for one person. You send us a photo, we weave the figure into the visual fabric of your chosen style. The result is meant to hang on a wall and reward a second, longer look.

We don't mass-produce, we don't outsource the creative work, and we don't take shortcuts. Each order goes through the same atelier process, whether the final piece is a digital file or a canvas print delivered to your door.

Our name

The name Sillua blends two words: silhouette and illusion. It mirrors the work itself. At first glance a painting, and then, when you squint, the silhouette of someone you love. The name is exactly what we make.
